Sara Panero is a Spanish dancer born in Salamanca (Spain). She trained for 7 years in various disciplines of dance such as ballet, contemporary dance, modern dance and hip hop. At the age of 16, she began Latin dancing with salsa, bachata and kizomba. At only 18, she studied for three years at the Conservatory of Dance Fortea (Madrid) specializing in classical ballet but still studied Latin rhythms. She competed with Ronald Jara representing Madrid in Africa dançar (Lisbon) in 2012. Afterwards she joined “Bachatea Dance Company” and began her own competition group that performedand competed in national competitions in bachata. In September 2012 Sara began dancing with Marco Espejo and they won two national bachata competitions in 2012 alone and created their own professional latin dance company called ‘Esencia’. In 2013 Marco and Sara won their fourth national Bachata couples championship and the following year (2014) were national Runners-up with their professional company ‘Esencia’. In mid-2014 Sara joined the professional company of the Prince of Salsa Johnny Vazquez called “Imperio Azteca” and moved to Milan for 6 months. In 2015 Sara returned to Spain and continue her solo choreographies and dance with “Esencia”. She also partnered with Albir Rojas and taught Kizomba worldwide. In 2016 Sara and Marco began working and teaching again with the objective of to be one of the most reknown couples in Sensual Bachata around the world with their own Bachata Style.
Marco Espejo Nuñez is a Peruvian dancer born in Trujillo (Perú) in 1988. In his youth, he started dancing and training to play both the Peruvian folclor and the Sax. When he was 18 years old, Marco moved to Huelva, Spain where he began dancing to latin rhythms. At the age of 21 years old, he began competing with his first official bachata couple with Elisa Toimil. Shortly after he won various regional competitions with Elisa García and they began competing nationally. In 2012, Marco and Sara Panero formed the dancing couple that won two national bachata competitions and created their own professional bachata company called ‘Esencia’. In 2013 Marco and Sara won their fourth national Bachata couples championship and the following year (2014) were national Runners-up with their professional company ‘Esencia’. In 2014 Marco began dancing bachata professionally with Marzia Licciardello, an Italian dancer and began establishing himself at an international level. In November 2014, they won the 1st place at the well-known ‘World Bachatart Fusion’ competition. Mixing sensuality and his own style, he tries to continue creating new movements with originality being the main goal of his work. In 2016 Sara and Marco began working and teaching again with the objective of to be one of the most reknown couples in Sensual Bachata around the world with their own Bachata Style.
